Default painful menstruation

what would you do if a teenager asked you what can be done for painful menses? Would you advise her to use actinoma gel? or would you give her birth control pills?? I'm at a loss and i really need help/...

Advil that's all you need....what causes cramping is the contractions that the uterus makes to fully expel everything out....Ibuprophen(sp?) aka advil is a muscle relaxant that helps loosen the muscle...thus the pain diminishes.

I used to get painful cramps growing up that I sometimes had to stay at home and miss school. I used advil and a hot water bottle on my tummy and it worked wonders

Advil, Motrin, any similar medications would be helpful.

If it is so severe, perhaps she needs to see an OB/Gyne for an exam or any helpful hints.
