Default Parker's 9 Month Check-Up

Today I had Parker's 9-month check up. He weighs 25 1/2 lbs and is 30 1/2 inches long. The doctor said that he was very healthy. He has 3 teeth and another one is coming down. Just this past week, he started cruising around the furniture holding on to the edges and such. He has let go and was able to stand on his own for about 2 seconds, I think until he figured out that nothing was holding him up and he got scared, haha. Anyways, I asked the doctor how to get him to sleep easier, because it literally takes me about an hour to two hours every night to get to sleep, anyways, she said about letting him CIO, but to wait until we get back from the beach to start it. Does anyone have any tips or anything to make it easier. I know I'm gonna have to just suck it up and do it, but it's gonna be hard, haha! Here are some pictures of him within the past week:

he is ssooooo handsome!! And hes so big!

As far as CIO, step outside of the house for a minute. Hes in the crib and nothing can hurt him if you are right out the front door. Every few mins poke your head in, rub his back, then go back outside. It will hurt a lot less for you if you cant actually hear him. I about to be on the same boat as you with Kaydee (almost 9 months) She will only sleep in the stroller, swing, or car ride and we are all sick of it haha

good luck and let me know how you are doing...maybe we can swap ideas

definitely what rhianna said! but also don't forget that CIO does NOT mean just letting him cry and cry for hours on end. make sure you go in to check on him in intervals. leave them room for 1 min, then 2, then 4, etc etc up to 20 minutes, then go in every 20 minutes. you'll do fine! if he's at the point that he's staying laying down, lay a bottle of water next to him, he'll probably be out within seconds of it. GL!

My ped said to let them cry 1 minute for each month old they are before going to them. Also, don't pick him up, just remind him you love him and it is time to go to sleep. Pat his behind or rub his back.

GL!
