Default payroll issues

ok here is the problem:

Two weeks ago, my paychecks were getting sent straight to my house. They would be there the monday after the friday payday. I waited and waited and no check came, so i finally called them on thursday and they told me i had to wait until friday to make a missing check claim. Needless to say, they finally direct deposited my check the following week.

Then last friday, my check was supposed to be directly deposited into my bank account. I check friday morning and it wasnt there...checked friday afternoon...still no check. Got on the phone with my payroll company and they said there was nothing they could do because they had record that it was deposited. Got on the phone with the bank and they said there was no record of it being deposited

Finally monday ADP (payroll) but a trace on the money and found it at the bank, the bank had "lost" it. Instead of just putting the money into my account, they decided to send it back to ADP. Stupid, I know. So, I have been patiently waiting since last Friday to get paid. No one from ADP will call me back to let me know whats going on and Im fed up.

I know its no my bosses or really even my companies fault (its the banks and payroll's) but I just told my boss I am not coming in until this is resolved or I get some answers.

Do you think I am over-reacting?? I just am sick of working for free...i have no money for a babysitter, so what am i working for??

i hope they get it all figured out soon rhi! i can't blame you for not wanting to work for free -- nobody can! i would have a word with the bank manager as well. might be a good time to look into other banks too.

That does stink!! I think Amber has a good idea- maybe look into other banks if it happens again. Or at least tell the bank that this situation has made you want to look into another bank. From my experience banks always want to keep customers.
Hope that it doesn't happen again!
