It's really frustrating when you see the same prices at Big Lots and other retailers who do take coups, but occasionally the deals at Big Lots can be unbeatable.
My Big Lots is pretty good about checking dates on stuff. If it's nearing its exp. they will mark it half-off or more. I've never found anything out-of-date there yet. I wish the same could be said for the grocery stores......
I can't say the same about my Big Lots (Chicago area).
The items I find tend to be VERY close to expiration. Only if they don't move do they get marked down further, which is quite a rarity in my neck of the woods.
They are building a Big Lots just down the street from where I live. I have never shopped at a Big Lots so it will be exciting to have somewhere different to go.
