PetCo Pet Adoption Gift Booklets
The new pet adoption coupon books are now at your local PetCo stores!
You will have to ask for them, they are NEVER advertised or left out for people to take.
Each coupon book is pet specific; this means if you have a dog, you must specify the Dog Booklet and so on for Cats and Rabbits. Don't know about birds.
Be prepared to be questioned as to which shelter you adopted your pet from. So have the name of a shelter at hand.
Expiration for the dog book is 3/31/06!

Re: PetCo Pet Adoption Gift Booklets
Well, the Dog Book claims $160.00 in coupons.
The first coup is for a free bag of premium dog food, 5-8 lbs.
The second is a B4G2 on premium canned dog food.
The rest of the coups are brand specific $ off dry food and then money and % off on various supplies and services like grooming and obedience classes, etc.
Even if you don't have a dog I recommend you get the book. I'd love to trade for the first two coupons! In the meantime, I will get the Cat book.

Re: PetCo Pet Adoption Gift Booklets
Isn't this stretching it? This booklet is meant for people who recently adopted a pet from a shelter therefore saving it from death. This booklet is not meant for people who are trying to exploit the system by getting free pet food or other items by pretending they adopted a pet from a shelter.
This greed and sense of entitlement makes me sick to my stomach. Some of you would steal candy from a baby if it had a coupon attached to it.

Re: PetCo Pet Adoption Gift Booklets
I adopted my dog in December from Animal Control. She was just put out and scared to death. Found her running the streets, had had puppies too. Shes finally gotten over the rolling over and wetting herself at loud noises, it was heartbreaking.. Shes a JR Doxie mix and as cute as can be, spoiled rotten and man is she smart! Anyway, I didnt know about this promo at the time, do you think its OK to still get one? Or has it been to long?

first thing that came to my mind was Fatwallet DealMavenGuru that was someone on fatwallet that jumped all over people about everything. I could totally be wrong in the abbreviation but just a guess

Re: PetCo Pet Adoption Gift Booklets
I adopted my 2 Gread Danes from a rescue a while back, so I am going to ask them for 1 or 2. They eat a ton! I am pretty sure the intent of the offer is to thank those who have adopted unwanted animals, so I have no problem asking for one!
Thanks for the info!

Re: PetCo Pet Adoption Gift Booklets
I proably will not ask for one, but I can see why some people would. It is expensive to feed our pets the kind of food that is good for them. I do not think getting a free bag of dog food once in a while is crime! After all if we were not feeding and taking care of our pets they would end up in a shelter then someone would end up having to adopt them!
Just what I think!!!!

My cats will only eat whiskas dry. So mine would definitely go to the shelter. I guess I'm evil.
ME TOO BECAUSE i GOT 18 OF THE Whiskas and I don't even have a cat! My chickens love it! They eat it as fast as you give it to them so I just buy the cat food and mix it in with my chicken feed!

Re: PetCo Pet Adoption Gift Booklets
***** ******!
My own dog came from a shelter!
Did I adopt him from the shelter? No, but the worthless people who did passed him around till he got to me.
He was 7 years old, arthritic and soon after I got him developed hypothyroidism and as of last October, diabetes!
He also needed ACL surgery to the tune of $1800.00. Despite the pet insurance I had bought, this procedure was not covered due to the fact that the policy was less than a year old.
NotSoABell, if I could, I would slap you silly!
