Default pets and babies...

Okay so I have this siamese cat, Taz. She was an absolute DOLL when I first got her (shortly before I became pregnant).
Now that we have Mikael, she is hell!
She pees and poops anywhere that Mikael has been (her new favorite spot is in Mikael's clean laundry). She also does it on the floor in front of the cat box (even though the box is clean) and she looks at you with disdain as she does it. I know it's because she is jealous, etc. etc. but if Mikael is gonna be crawling soon I cannot have her do this! I can't shampoo the carpets daily! Is there anything I can do to break her of this? Or do I need to just get rid of her? becasue obviously I am gonna choose my son's health and whatnot over her.
And yes, I have tried to balance the attention equally.. I try to give her lots of loving but she is not happy with it. In fact, she constantly tries to swat at Mikael and if he is on my lap she tries to sit on him.
Because let me tell you I am thisclose to getting rid of her. This is just getting old.
Anyone else have this problem with their babies and pets?

When I was younger I had a cat, had her for a few months, and then my mom had my little brother (( I was 10 )) and all day while I was at school, my mom would spend time with her ((okay, not ALL day, but she'd play with her and stuff)) and when I got home, I took care of her. Well, after my brother was born, my mom didn't have time for her anymore during the day, so the cat peed and pooped on EVERYTHING of my brothers. It's a jealously thing. She's not the baby anymore, so it's her revenge. We had to get rid of our cat... the vet said this type of jealous behavior wasn't going to stop. Once cats get like that, there is not to much you can do to change it. Good luck though!!

I have to agree with Nicole..

I had a cat I bought for jaecy (ok she wa only 5 months old, but i said it was hers ) it did the same thing...jae wound up eating cat poo twice and that was it...the kitten went back to the store!

I dont think it will get any better--it will probably get worse once he starts moving about...good luck though!

ps...siamese cats arent good with kids, I work at a pet store and we tell everyone who wants them not to get one if they have any lil ones around. And they are VERY stubborn animals!!
