Default Pics of my progress

I have written elsewhere that I've been running since 5/30/07. I haven't lost much in lbs., 3 or 4, but I've lost a lot of inches.

My legs are much tighter:

The first night I ran, I wore these denim shorts. They fit comfortably at the time (not too tight, not loose). This is how they fit me last night:

I am currently 5 feet 8 inches, and about 155 lbs. I try not to step on the scale, it just depresses me and obviously, I've made progress. I'll have to post a previous pic to give you an idea.

My goal was to get to 135 lbs, what I weighed right when I quit smoking, but before I added any weight. But I don't think that's realistic because muscle is going to weigh more than fat, and while I wasn't "fat" then, I didn't have much muscle either!

March 2007:

May 2007:

So I'm tooting my own horn a little...motivating myself. I tell ya, most days the thought crosses my mind to "just skip it tonight" for whatever reason...but first I told myself there'd be no progress if I didn't do something, then I told myself that to get the results in the shortest amount of time, I couldn't have a day off.

Now, I'm starting to actually see the difference. People who haven't seen me in a month notice right off & are like, "OMG! Have you lost weight?" or "You HAVE lost weight, I heard you did." It's wonderful to get those comments.

I hope I can motivate someone here...because believe me, I would NEVER have pictured myself a runner. I hated everything to do with it when I was in school.
