Dear Special Needs Parents and Supporters:

I have student here with me today who we will Marie.

Marie has a skin condition that causes her pigmentation to lose color in her hands and face. She is very nervous around other kids. Sometimes they are not very nice and like to tease her or ask her questions about what is wrong. She is wondering if anyone has any advice for her to help her deal with going to school with a lot of kids who are mean.

Marie needs encouragement and to meet some other kids or parents whose children also have a serious condition or illness that affects them at school.
