Default prayer

I've recently written a blog about a 40 day prayer covenant.http://christian.families.com/blog/h...rayer-covenant. So here's the forum topic in three parts? Please feel free to answer all or any of the three.
Have you ever been part of a prayer covenant?
What is your most memorable answer to prayer?
How long were you praying before God answered?

Our most memorable answer to prayer is how we ended up in one of the worst parts of the inner city!

DH and I had just gotten married and had about 3 months before we had to move. We kept applying to jobs, getting accepted and turning them down. We felt clearly that the Lord was telling us to do so. . .but can I just say that two 21 yo kids wandering around wide eyed saying, "No we don't have jobs. . .it'll come" made us seem horribly irresponsible?!

Anyhow, we still didn't have jobs and had to leave in 5 days. . .and then a friend of ours comes back and says, "Hey do you know anyone who wants to teach 5th grade?" The rest is history. That was mid-August and two weeks later, I started working in a Christian school in Spanish Harlem. We just knew when the job opened up here, that was the Lord saying, "Go, go!" Every once in awhile something will happen--as it does in the inner city--and again, we feel that reaffirming answer to prayer to stay.

Default answered prayer

Thanks for sharing your answer, Valorie and obviously continued answer.
I think for me it would be when our daughter nearly died beacuse of a bizarre illness that started from a case of food poisoning. She was in intensive care for weeks and ended up with kidney failure. As others started to pray along with us, she was healed. A miracle that only God could do and that left doctors amazed. I look at her now, completely well, and stronger in her Christian faith as a result of that tumultuous time.
