Prayer works, MIRACLE!
Well, My mom had surgery to remove her ovaries and to explore the rest of her "Cancer" and they didn't find any cancer...NONE! She did have a benign tumor on one of her ovaries and they did remove them both. Her doctor said everyone in the operating room literally cheered when they saw what WASN'T there!
They don't know why the CAT scan showed any "suspicious lesions" on her perituneum and liver, but when they actually saw them there was nothing there, but healthy tissue and healthy liver.
All they can say is that is is a miracle.
I have never been so happy in my life!
Thank you all for you prayers....They worked!!!

Yes, I am convince that prayer works.
Last summer I had a total hysterectomy - like your mom I had an ovarian tumor - huge, it was 16 cm diameter and weighed about 3 pounds. It was "borderline". The size of it meant that with the ct scan they were not able to see what was really going on with the other organs, but that thing had to come out right away anyway.
It was borderline, non invasive. And no indication that it had spread elsewhere. But the oncologist believed that due to the size of the mass and the pathology report, that a week would have made the difference in a bad way. So they took it, and the ovaries, and the uterus, and my appendix, and repaired a hernia caused by the tumor. That was July. I am finally starting to feel strong again. I was upheld in prayer by many people who did not know me, and by my divorce support group.
Sometimes the results of CT scans are not conclusive, they are just indicators that exploratory surgery needs to be done.
Please make sure mom follows up with post op tests, CA-125s if recommended by her doctor. Very important, and glad you caught this early. Just be aware that ovarian cancer cells can turn up ANYWHERE, and that the possibility of mom having tumors (benign or malignant) grow elsewhere is still very real.

My mom is home from the hospital today. I am glad I am able to spend some time with her before I am in the hospital for a few days.
My mom is very careful and will get all the tests done that she will need done. She also has a brain tumor, her 2ndm she had one removed about 20 years ago. And had a Uterine tumor removed about 10 years ago. She had a partial hysterectomy when she had the uterine tumor removed but they told her to keep her ovaries at the time. She goes every year to CAT scan the brain tumor and it hasn't grown in a few years so they say just to leave it there until it grows.
She asked her dr. why she gets tumors and he said she is just prone to tumors, some people are just unlucky. Thankfully they have all been benign.
My mom was able to read her original report from the doc that read her CAT scan this time and it said right in there "ovarian cancer that has spread to the liver and peritineum". And the oncologist that did the operation said that the tumor was such a shape and size that it looked like cancer even on the CAT scan.
