Prayers Appreciated
My elderly, sweet mother is back in the hospital since last Tuesday.
She took a turn for the worse today
and we are taking things hour by hour.
We expect the end is near.
Prayers appreciated, my friends!

Appreciate the prayers & good wishes. My amazing mother went to be with Jesus in heaven this morning, Tuesday, August 25, 2009.
We were with her.
I am just tearful and my heart is so heavy.
I guess it is just selfish of me because I know she is no longer suffering.
She had a peaceful passing with us there.
Services Friday, Saturday, & Sunday.
I have never heard of 3 days of services before.
Visitation/funeral/supper Friday.
Sat burial service at another town/luncheon
Sun memorial service.
Prayers appreciated.

Sorry to hear of your mother's passing but you're right, she's no longer in pain. She is dancing in Heaven! It's nice to hear that she had a peaceful passing surrounded by loved ones. I think that is all any of us could hope for.
You and your family are in my prayers.

May your mother rest in peace. How are you holding up? Your dad?

Appreciate your prayers & good wishes, friends!
Initially I was taking it hour by hour, tearful. And I wasn't sleeping well either.
The funeral services were last weekend. I momentarily forget that Mom has passed, and I come up with something "I need to share that with Mom." Only I can't do that.
Dad is taking things a day at a time. We had family staying & supporting him at the apt until Monday. I have been seeing him daily, sometimes with my sons.
He is moving to a new apt (same building) only smaller in the next couple of weeks.
We inspect it daily - all painted, new carpet & tile laid today.
Went to the cemetery today, Dad's request, to check out the grave site and place silk flowers on a shepherd's hook. The funeral flowers still look beautiful & fresh on her gravesite.
(((Hugs)))
