First of all, no she isn't ill or anything...we could just really use some prayer coverage for her b/c she is fearful of going on a class overnight (2 nites) trip that they leave on tomorrow...She is 12 and in Gr. 6..She doesn't really like to do sleepovers...she used to but hasn't in sometime...I know one would think that at 12 she wouldn't have this concern but she does...Can't quite nail that on the head she just would rather be home...She originally wasn't sure if she wanted to go and then she decided she would...(I have really been praying for her to feel comfortable and strong and courageous)she waivered a bit but made her final decision on Mon...paid the balance of the trip and we bought stuff today and then tonite she has been crying and upset...says she doesn't really want to go but now is concerned that her friends will be mad at her and make fun of her...We have talked and talked and talked...She really really does want to go it is just the overnight part that has her scared!! I just don't want her to miss out and it breaks my heart to see her in such a state...I wish I had the magic words to set it all right...Sorry for the novel...if you would just keep her in your thoughts and prayers that she will indeed go on her trip and overcome this fear I would really appreciate it!!! Will keep you posted...thank you in advance...

Thanks Sophie....they worked!! She is on the bus and on her way with her class!!! It was touch and go this a.m. but then she decided she would finish packing and we'd go to the school and see...well I talked to the teachers that are going and they are all there to help if needed...She was smiling and laughing with her friends on the bus as they pulled away!! I know she is going to have a wonderful time...thanks for the good vibes and prayers...If you would think about her over the next couple of days that would be appreciated...Will fill you in when she gets back on Friday!! Thanks again everyone...nice to know you are all out there!!

i bet now that she is on the bus with her friends, she is going to have a GREAT time! going away overnight without mom is scary, but i bet the fun will outweigh the fear!! let us know how it goes!!
