Default pre-school question

Hello girls, here I am-the newest member of this club, good job!!!
Have an important question, but let me give a little background info so you know what I am talking about.
I have a 3y6m boy and he is currently going to a bilingual(English and Spanish) pre-school (already for 1 year), we are currently stationed in Central America. He is completely bilingual now. Next year (June ‘0 we are going back to the States, we are from Alexandria, VA. So my son should start a pre-kinder (4-5 years), next academic year in VA.
I would like to ask you for an advice, there are so many pre-kinder schools and I am completely lost which one to choose, did a lot of research in internet but it is so difficult to take such an important decision. We are going back for Christmas, for about 1 month and may be I can visit some of the schools.
Will be great if you can recommend me some or will really appreciate any advises and tips. Most of the private pre-kinder schools are too expensive for a military salary, what should I do.
Thanks a lot.

Default Preschool

Hello. I am also new to Families, this is my first post. I have three little cuties. The oldest is in preschool and we just moved cross country so she is in her second prescool. We found the first one as a suggestion from a friend. I really liked the values she described and my daughter loved the preschool. Now that we have moved and entered a new preschool I have realized most preschools are fantastic, we chose her current school as a suggestion from the elementary school principal. To move your decision along I would ask community members where they send/sent their kids and WHY they liked it. You may find out what some people find important is not the same as you. Also, I think it is important to take your little one the visit each school and see how they react. Some schools are bigger than others and that may affect kids comfort levels. I hope this has been helpful, but take comfort in knowing most preschools are run similar and run very well. Good Luck.
