Default Pregnancy and kittens

I am not sure if this was the correct place to post this, or if it should have been in the pets section, but either way, I heard something and I want to know if it is true or not... Even since I got pregnant my kitten ((who is about 10-12 weeks old)) is ALWAYS on my lap and won't leave me alone. I heard that they can kinda sense pregnancy, but towards the end they get evil and mean because they are jealous... DH's ex had a kitten during her pregnancy and she attacked her when she was about 8 months! She peed all over the house and hissed at her when she tried to clean it and sat in front of her bedroom door and hissed and bit her when she tried to walk past! She got so mean that she had to get rid of her. Was this cat just crazy, or does this happen? I would hate to get rid of my kitten, but if she is going to pose a threat to the kids or myself, I would rather not let that happen... anyone know if this is true??

We've had a total of three cats while I've been pregnant and ours have been just fine. I think it really just depends on the personality of the cat.

The other thing is that pregnant women should not be cleaning up after cats' urine and stool or the cat box. Health issues!!

When i was pregnant, my sweetiecat slept under the crib. He tried to sleep in the crib, but soon learned from me that this was a no no. When the babies were born, he definitely did NOT want to sleep in the crib. But he still slept under it. And when the baby would cry, he would run to my bed and jump on me, standing on my chest and staring at me wide eyed as if to say " DO SOMETHING! MAKE IT STOP!!!"

He loved both our babies and was very affectionate with them.

But he wasn't a kitten. Maybe the kitten senses the presence inside you.

With the catzilla I have now, if I were to have more children I would have to get rid of him. He would eat them.

Thank you all so much!! I know not to clean up after her, DH takes care of that for me, but I was so scared that my precious little kitten would turn into a furious beast! I feel more at ease now... thank you!!!

my cat likes my belly she will cuddle up to me and put all four paws on my belly and push on it. I think she does it because the baby will kick afterwords. She has NEVER been nasty to babies and she has been around them. With the fact that you have Vinnie and CeJay I dont think she will be a furious kitty they tend to be comfortable with kids esp. when they are around them. My neice is nasty to all pets not on purpose but she sees them as toys and my cat just sits there and takes it with a look of help on her face
