Default Pregnancy Tests

Does anyone have a specific brand of tests they like to use? Do you think the digital ones are better than the ones with lines? Just curious!

I've been pregnant 7 times, and all of them showed up on the dollar store ones. I wouldn't spend the money on the name brand, or digital ones.

I prefer the digital ones- in my opinion they are worth the money, as it gives you a clear answer either way (as opposed to trying to interpret those stupid lines). I know a lot of people who have gotten false positives (evaporation lines) on the dollar store ones, and the First Response tests gave me barely noticeable lines when I was getting positives with the digital. I also really don't like the Life brand ones that are available in some drug stores- I have used them 3 times previously, and in all cases I didn't even get a control line.

I found a bunch of digitals onsale at the drug store (Clearblue Easy)- but if you find them too expensive, the Equate brand from Walmart is inexpensive and also works well.

- when I thought I was pregnant I went out and bought a bunch of different brands, JUST to make sure of the response.

There is a website that outlines the sensitivity of different tests:

I'm also a digital girl. There are no questions about the lines.

I have been trying to decide what kind of test to use in case I ever need to test! I bought a pack of EPT tests with the lines. It was an impulse buy bought right before we TTC! I couldn't help myself! Maybe I will try a digital one though. I keep reading that people really seem to like them. Thanks for the info!

I have read the best are tests which can detect 20mg of HCG in your urine. It does not matter whether they are digital or not. There are sensitive tests, but they can give you false positive result. I would rather wait for couple of days until I get positive result, then to get positive reasult and later find out I was not actually pregnant...

I like FRER and CBE digitals. I do not like Equate because it always gives me evap lines. Nothing worse than a faint line that is NOT a BFP...!!

I like the old ones. Gimme lines. I took one Digital and had a negative result 4 weeks later I miscarried. I would rather see a faint line and know then it not be strong enough to give a PREGNANT reading.
