Vinnie (4) and CeJay (3) started preschool this past monday. It's 6 (9am-3pm) hours, every day. They LOVE it. Every morning they are excited to go, and every day when I pick them up I get good reports from the teachers saying that they behave and listen well. CeJay's teacher even said she never heard such wonderful manners from someone so small

But, as SOON as we walk out the doors, they are TERRIBLE! Literally as soon as we leave. It's terrible. I'm not saying my kids are perfect angels, but they always listened well and were pretty well behaved for the most part. Today CeJay ran right into the parking lot, and threw a HUGE fit when I told him to hold my hand. He NEVER did this before, he always knows to hold my (or another grown ups) hand. The tantrums are terrible and are about the smallest things. They don't listen what so ever. It's only been a week, but it's driving me crazy!! They are wild and crazy and out of control! Could this be from starting preschool some how???? Vinnie came home DEMANDING gum today. He KNOWS that he is never allowed to have it. He threw a huge fit, screaming and hitting furniture and having a major crying melt down. Over gum. Over something that he is never allowed to have. I know that school doesn't give them gum, or do anything I wouldn't approve of, they are the best private school in my area and are sort of strict with only eating healthy foods (they serve lunch there) and positive reinforcements only and such. They love school, but are they acting out because of it??? I'm so excited to pick them up, but as soon as I do the screaming whining kicking crying starts... It takes them a good 2 hours or so to become "normal" again. Anything I can do to STOP this BEFORE it drives me insane??
