Default Q: reguarding Rainchecks on $$/$$

I sure that this has been discuss before and it may be a ymmv kind of thing, but I would like your input.
On last weeks P&G deal the ad states "Purchase $20 of products listed below, get $10 ECB"
Ok so I had a raincheck for Bounty Basic that I used. I purchased 4 packs of towels at $3.99 each and a bottle of Downy for $5.29. Total was $21.25. NO ECB printed. Just a couple of months ago ( April, I think) I did the same thing with no problem. Last night "shift supervisor" said it was because they had to price adjust for the raincheck.
My question is if a deal says spend x amount to get an ECB, why then should it matter how much each items cost?
And
Will it do me any good to call corp.?
Thanks

You cant get an ECB this week for last weeks deal. They have to write raincheck to account for the ECB you would have gotten. In deal like this, dont know how they would have done that. In other words, buy TP for 2.99, get $2ECB=final cost .99.
In this case the raincheck would be for .99. What you would have paid after subtracting for the ECB amount.

Just want to give everyone an update on this. As it turns out it wasn't the Bounty Basic that was the problem, it was the Downy. Anyway, the manager (great lady) took a look at my receipt and gave me $10 in cash. WAY TO MAKE YOUR CUSTOMERS HAPPY.
So for future reference.....if you receive a raincheck and then the item is on a ECB deal you can get the RC price and the ECB.
