Default Question about Clomid success?

Moderators please move if its in the wrong location. (Apologies).
Hi Guys, My doc wants to start me on clomid next month days 2-6 50mg with cycle ultrasound tracking days 2,9,11 and 13.
My questions
Any of you ladies conceived taking clomid on these days?
How many cycles to conceive?
Did you take anything else to aid conception?
Do you know roughly what cycle day you ovulated taking clomid on these days?
Sorry for all the questions.

I had success with Clomid.

My doc had me take it on days 3 through 7. She only did an ultrasound the first month to make sure the dose was okay. She said that I could only use it for 3 cycles (I guess the success rate goes way down if you use it longer than that). I didn't get pregnant until the third cycle. After the third cycle, I was totally depressed & was sure it didn't work. Then I took a test & it was positive. I had a normal pregnancy & my son was born this past August & was completely healthy.

I didn't take anything else to aid conception. I did use ovulation kits to determine which day I ovulated. It was late...like day 18 of my cycle. My doctor told me to elevate my hips after sex for 20 minutes to increase my chances of getting pregnant. She also told us not to have sex until the ovulation test was positive for each cycle (so the sperm was super concentrated). Then when the test was positive, we should do it as much as possible for the next few days. Then after that it didn't matter until the next cycle started.

I did have some side effects from the Clomid. I felt generally crampy for much of my cycle. Also, I was more moody than usual & felt kind of depressed the whole time. Nothing major, just not my usual cheery self.

Hope this helps. Good luck to you!!
