Finally a Rainbow thread! Woo Hoo!

I've had both experiences with Rainbow...several times I had $25 before all coupons, and the guy didn't say anything. And last week, the gal rang up everything, took off the coupons, then said "You don't have enough, oh wait, you do".
But after I walked away, I saw she charged me for 6 of the coke 12 pks, and I only bought 4. So I went to the customer service desk and he refunded me the 2 packs. It would not have been $25 AFTER coupons.

What I don't like about this is how unclear it is. One of the previous double daze coupons I have says "Purchase requirements excludes discounts, coupons, gift cards, lottery ticket and bus passes".

Then last Sundays ad says "($25 is before tax and after store coupons)"

When I go in, I buy $25 in groceries, hand them my 5 $1 coupons to double, then I hand them the rest of my coupons. I think it should be $25 after store coupons, but not manufacturer coupons.
If I'm buying 5 cartons of $5 catfood, and $15 dollars in cereal, and I hand them 5 $1 cereal coupons that they double and then 5 coupons for a free carton of cereal, I should only be paying $5 and it shouldn't be a problem, because before the coupons I had groceries costing $40.
Is that confusing?
