Default Raincheck & SCR

I remember someone mentioned that RiteAid will accept raincheck to validate SCR as long as you fax in the receipt. However, in my local RiteAid, because the raincheck allows a lower price than their normal price, the sales representative always put in "taxable merchandise" on the receipt so that she can manually put the raincheck price in. I am wondering if I fax in such a receipt with "taxable merchandise", how could the SCR department which product it is? Without knowing which product I purchase, how could they validate the rebate?

Good question! I don't think RA would be able to verify it. You can call the CS line to make sure, but I would bring in the receipt (with the items) to the store manager and explain what has happened. Most likely, the employee should not be ringing it in like that, for that very reason. Ask the manager how to proceed....I'm thinking the products should be re-rung in as "raincheck item"...which at my store requires manager approval, so maybe that's why the cashier did it the other way.

btw, welcome to families!
