If you like Tess Gerritsen you would probably like Karin Slaughter..(for the types of books she writes she has a perfect last name )...How about James Patterson...or Lisa Gardner...Joy Fielding....For some lighter/funnier with some drama/heavy stuff thrown in...Sandra Dallas(The Persian Pickle Club is one), Billie Letts(Where the Heart Is), Sue Monk Kidd...(The Secret Life of Bees is a fabulous read!!)..there are a few to hopefully get you started...I will think of some more don't worry!! Anybody else have some to share??

I haven't read them yet but I have heard they are very funny and come highly recommended...books by Janet Evanovich..she has a series with a character named Stephanie Plum, who is a lingerie buyer but becomes a bounty hunter...well wouldn't you???
Also there is the "Shopaholic" series by Sophie Kinsella that are very funny reads too!! Light and surprisingly relatible(did I just make up a word??)...

I am glad you are enjoying the Secret Life of Bees....which Karin Slaughter book did you get? If you got one of the Grant County series I think "Kisscut" is the first one in that series...I believe one of her non-Grant ones is called "Tryptich"...I am reading the latest in the Grant series called.."Beyond Reach" and I am also reading Sue Monk Kidd's 2nd book "The Mermaid Chair"...Happy reading...!!!

"Little Earthquakes" by Jennifer Weiner. Hilarious book. It's about women, babies, marriage, etc. Fabulous... I couldn't put it down! Loved it!

Little Earthquakes is a good read too!! If you wished to read the Grant County Series I just found it for you (cuz I couldn't remember all of them off the top of my wee head ): Blindsighted; Kisscut; A Faint Cold Fear; Indelible; Faithless; Beyond Reach...
