I thought it would be nice to make a place to put recipes ranging from the simplest to some not so simple for us to have our teens make so they can eventually learn the very basic of cooking for when they go off into that big outside world of college so they don't have to live on Ramen Noodles like I/We did

.
In this area we can post any kind of recipe as long as it is inexpensive and quick since they won't have alot of money or time in college to eat (at least that is how they will act sometimes

).
Here is one to start with:
Every bean you can think and like & sausage chili
1 can each of any kind of bean you can think of that you will eat
1 can of diced tomatoes and chilis (rotelle or generic)
1 pack of polish sausage (like the Hillshire or it's generic equivalent) or 1 pack of cocktail weiners
You will need a large spaghetti pot to mix the ingredients in.
Add the sausage to the pot and cook til some of the juices start to come out (usually med-hi to hi heat is best and quickest)
Add the beans to the sausage don't drain the beans add the juice and all.
Add the tomatoes with juices as well.
Mix together and add any spices you might like (ie chili powder, emeril seasoning, etc)
Cook until it begins to boil and then it is done.
Serve with toast, crackers or anything else to soak up the juices.
