Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS)
I have had this problem since about the 3rd month. Back then it was when I was sitting at night relaxing watching TV, and when I went to bed my legs were fine.
Now that I'm approaching the 3rd trimester, my legs are fine at night, and when I go to bed it's horrible. As soon as I lay down I have to move my legs around, or I have to get up and walk around.
Is anyone else having this problem? How are you dealing with it?

Make dh rub your legs constantly all night long , or..
Maybe try either sleeping in a recliner, or with lots and lots of pillows to prop your back up in the bed.
I hope you get to feeling better!

I just posted about this a few weeks ago!!!! I had it with my previous pregancy, and forgot how irritating it is!! I had tried everything!! Then, 2 nights ago, I had an idea. I got one of those stand-up fans, and had the cool air directed toward my legs... it worked!! Granted, it's a bit chilly, so I need an extra blanket, but it has relaxed my legs enough so that I can sleep! TRY IT!!!!!
I wish I knew what causes this...

When I was pregnant with my twins I had this problem too. I found a beginning yoga video that I would do at night just before I went to bed. I don't know why it helped, but it did. I wasn't able to do all of the poses or sequences (due to my big belly ) but I think just the slow stretching of the leg muscles relaxed them somehow and I was able to get some sleep.

I never had this problem with my other two pregnancies, but this time I am experiencing everything I didn't the first two times!! To combat the rls I've found sleeping in a reclining position to be helpful, until my neck starts to cramp, ! I also have resorted to placing multilple pillows between my knees and/or sleeping on the couch. More sleeping on the couch than pillows though. I also get up and walk around when I start getting restless or change positions as often as possible, and as comfortably as possible.

I suffer with this all the time, but when I'm pregnant it's especially horribile. It is by far the worst side effect I experience with pregnancy. (I'm currently in my 2nd tri with my 2nd baby).
The best remedy I've found is a warm bath and/or Tylenol.

It's back again! I'm no where near out of my first tri and my legs are at it again! It started Saturday night. I thought it was just me because I was over tired. Then it happened again last night and kept me up most of the night!
It's going to be a long 9 months!

ME ME ME!! nothing helps mine, rubbing, stretching them, walking, but mine is not just at night, its all the time, when I wake up they are aching, all day long they bug me, at night its just impossible to sleep. I have had it the last 3 pregnancies, don't remember if I did with the first 2. This one is by far the worst. Plus my legs are so sensitive that I have to shave every other night if not every night. They cant stand to touch each other or the sheets, nothing! BUT IT ALL WORTH IT!!
