Default Retail

Am I getting older or are the retail employees of today the worst yet?

My two recent experiences. I was at Sears and bought a skirt. It did not ring on at the sale price. The sign was "expired". That is the stores problem not mine. The gal who rang me up did not want to go look at the sign, she just wanted to stand there and argue. I asked her to call a manager, which she did. The manager told her to give it to me at the sale price, then the manager removed the sign.

We then went to Penney's. The item I wanted was 4 for $12 or $4.50 each. They only had 3 in my size. I spent 10 minutes while they looked for more in my size. I would've gladly bought 4. It took another 5 minutes to get a manager to agree to the price override. The clerk wouldn't budge at all.

These are minor but this is my experience constantly in retail. What about you?
