I've found the best cure for ringworm, far better than any prescription medications, is tea-tree oil. It's a natural anti-fungicide and clears up the infection in less time ANDit's less expensive. We always keep a bottle handy in the bathroom as it's useful for a variety of ailments. A few drops tossed in the bath is also good for recurring thrush. It's pretty much a first aid kit in a bottle.

You should be able to buy it from a health food shop. It comes from an Australian native plant and is exported worldwide. Actaully the plant i probably grown elsewhere now for medicinal purposes, but I'd try a health food shop first, or perhaps a pharmacist. You don;t need a doctor's prescription.
