Default Rutherford, NJ GOING OUT OF BUSINESS

The Rutherford, NJ Shoprite is going out of business on Feb 28, 2007!

I mean them no ill will, but that is what happens when you do not treat your customers right. I live within walking distance of the place and in the past 2 years I never go there anymore. The store is poorly lit, poorly stocked, dirty, and the surliest customer service around, and IMHO coupon nazis. Arrivederci!

I knew it must have been embarrasing when Rutherford starting busing its seniors over to Lyndhurst Shoprite (which is a dream store, BTW!) You think they would have made some changes then, but no.

Right now everything in the store is 20% off. They no longer accept coupons, will not write rainchecks, and do not honor sale prices. They are clearing out their inventory. I guess the sales will get better and better as the closing date approaches. Should be worth watching. In the meantime, you could buy those things you never seem to have coupons for here, since everything in the entire store is 20% off.
