One thing I can say is that everything happened too fast. I was very ok on weekend and also Monday morning. I had a Dr appt on Monday at 4.30 and I did all the little house cores and wanted to take a short nap but I could not coz I had this uncomfortable feeling in my stomach.(they were contractions but obviously I didn’t know.) that was at 3pm. Then Rolf came to take me to the doctor. (he always does that) and I was put on a Doppler for half an hour. I had contractions every 5-6 mins. In the waiting room the Contractions were stronger then finally the Dr saw us at around 5.40 and I told her how I feel and she was surprised and asked me how often and I told her about every 5 mins. She was in panic and she checked me and said my Uterus was opened and I had to go to hospital immediately. Coz Ryan was pushing. We reached the Hospital at around 6.10 and they put me on a Doppler again. By the way on our way to hospital I already knew I’m having contractions and said to my self it aint so bad as I had imagine well guess again!!
When I was on the Doppler the contractions got stronger and they came every 2-3 minutes, but the machine did not show like they were that strong. Thereafter we had to wait to see the Dr and God she was taking forever coz she was busy and this time around 7.30 the contractions were strong and painful. We thought they were going to stop it and close the Uterus. Think again. The Dr was seeing us at 7.50 and when she checked my Uterus she just looked at me and said that Ryan is going to be born tonight. The Uterus opening riched already about 6cm! He is pushing and she could already see him. There was no way to stop him. I was so scared. They took me to the delivery room. My water broke and I had to push which I was not really good at I had two DRs the Mid wife and Rolf. At 8.37pm 7thJan 2008 Ryan was born and rushed to the incubator I only saw his back and hair. It was so emotional I don’t think I will ever forget this moment in my life. Oh they had to induce me with some medicine that would activate Ryans Lungs.
There was nothing wrong though the Dr said my water was a little bit dark so it’s good he was born. There is a name for this condition coz it was a normal birth and the say it happens once in every 1000 pregnancies. Ryan is a strong Fighter he is doing so well. He can breathe on his own but at his age he sometimes gets tired so he is on standby with breathing equipment. He eats but through a tube. Im not allowed to breastfeed him until when he is 32 weeks but he is already been fed with my breast milk. He started by taking 2ml milk and now he is taking 14ml.He is absolutely beautiful and we both are blessed to have him. I can look at him all day and never get tired.
