Scary Night
I woke up this morning around 1 am. and I could not breathe. It felt like someone had their hands on my neck choking me. I woke my DH up when I was gasping for air. He had me sit up and put my arms above my head (I have no idea if the does anthing...) Then after a few seconds my breathing returned to normal. I was fine the rest of the night. I was alseep on my left side when this happend. I was able to feel the babies move too after it happend.
I called my Dr. this morning and spoke to her. She said this isn't really "normal" since I was on my side, but I should be ok. They babies probably pushed to hard on me. If it happens again go straight to the ER. I have a sonogram and a Dr. visit on Wednesday. She said she will examin everything then. Wednesday can't get here soon enough now!
Has this happend to anyone else before?

No experience on this one really, but I think putting your arms above your head may stretch out your torso, and give your lungs a bit more room... sitting up probably helped the babies move down a little too. Do you think it might help if you slept with your head/shoulders elevated a little on pillows? It might keep the babies from crowding your lungs too much. Keep us posted on what the dr says on Wednesday!

This is pretty exclusive to twins. It is scary. . .but that's most likely what happened. . .not enough room, squishing your diaphragm. It shouldn't happen frequently during pregnancy. . .more like a fluke. Doing some positional change exercises should help if you can swing it but honestly, I couldn't do them once I got to be a certain size.

Last night was ok, nothing scary happend I used a few more pillows so I was upright more to sleep. I think the babies grew because my belly seems a lot bigger. My co-workers have even commented on it. I just can't wait to see what the Dr. says tomorrow! Also, I can't wait to see my babies. I could stare at them on the screen all day.

I know I could have stared at the screen all day too! It's amazing how quickly we love our children. I am glad you slept good last night and I hope you can get good sleep more.
