Default Scheduled An Appointment With A Mid Wife

I go in on my birthday the 18th of December. I saw a OB to confirm I was pregnant but although she seemed very nice I have always envisioned having a mid wife and trying to go for a natural birth. My DH is up in the air about a mid wife only because he doesn't want anything to go wrong which i understand. But I found a mid wife who delivers at a hospital works with a OB in that practice if necessary and I can do a water birth if I am a candidate. I feel exhilarated and feel like I made the right choice and with all the back ups in place I think DH will be happy also. The only thing that worries be the least amount is I live about 45min to a hour(during traffic) from the hospital I deliver at. Do you think that is to far? Oh and it is a all female practice and clinic focusing on woman's health
As far as the pregnancy goes I am feeling tired, nausea and a little cramping set in this past weekend. We told our parents this past weekend and they are all super excited!

I actually see both, and have no problems. I love my midwife to death and wouldn't trade her for the world. It's only on rare occasions I have to see a reg OB, but they all share one office which helps out. Good luck!
