Default Recycling tips for household items?

So now that I have about a million of these little cans of pringles, I am wondering if there's something I can do with the cans when empty besides just throwing them out. My kids love to keep stuff like this and have already asked me for every can I've emptied so far. They are good to keep their little stuff in, or make little banks out of, but I don't really want to see a bunch of little pringles cans floating around their room. I know when I was a kid we used to use a lot of stuff like this for crafts, like paper towle rolls, cereal boxes, etc.
We used to save all our jars for my grandmother who made jelly every year, but we are too far now and would have to ship them to her. I am saving baby food jars, but don't know what for. Oh, and of course baby wipes tubs are great for storing upcs, receipts, and coupons.
Looking for ideas on pringles cans specifically (small and large cans), but also any other common items that could be recycled or used for something else.
