Does anyone sell their thing's on Ebay?

I heard about people making pretty good money on selling thins on Ebay. I am not computer savvy at all. I registerd on the site a couple days ago and it's so overwhelming with the amount of stuff they have on there . I have alot of childrens clothes that I normally consign. I think I would make more money off them if I sold some of the things on Ebay.....Toys,clothes,household items. But there is so much stuff already on there "why would they buy mine". If anyone has any advice please let me know. Or if you have any stories on if it's even worth it!
