Default Shopping carts

I work at a grocery store and it seems we have so many lazy customers. They take the cart when they walk in then leave it somewhere in the store instead of putting it where they got it. The store isn't that big they can't return it.

People ARE lame. Just today I saw someone who was sitting in her car open the door, set her McDonalds cup down on the parking lot, & close her door.

It's just pure laziness. I HATE lazy.

ohhh man i hate this!! our cart drop off is RIGHT next to the door, literally. it's carts then the door, there's no way you can get out of the store without walking past it. i'm a cashier & being an express i'm also right in front of the door/cart drop off, but they will leave it in my line next to the belt or next to whatever is on display. if i see them do it on my line, i will politely say "can you push your cart through and drop it off right by the door?" but if i'm cleaning up the lanes and see someone do it i'll take the cart but say (loudly) "geez, when are people going to learn to drop off their own carts? it's right next to the door, it's not any inconvenience to them!" i've learned humility works, and those same people will drop off their carts next time.

Be careful that you don't get in trouble...They deserve to be made feel bad, I agree, but you know how they are about being told something...they're the first ones to tattle like a baby

I like Aldis just for this reason. You have to put a quarter in the cart to unchain in...then you don't get your quarter back until you're done shopping & take it over to where all the carts are stored & put the chain back in-releasing your quarter. The store does that so they don't have to pay someone to run around getting the carts all day...and I have to say, it works very well.

Isn't it funny how people don't even want to lose a quarter?
