Should Governor Spitzer resign?
Governor Elliot Spitzer of NY has been implicated in a high class call girl ring. Apparently he ordered a call girl from this service, to meet him when he was in Washington DC. He paid for her travel, and her time, and apparently had a $500 credit with the ring. He spent over $4000 on the last encounter. This was discovered as a result of the FBI investigating the entire operation.
Now, misbehaving politicians is nothing new - but this is a former attorney general who was elected by a landslide on a platform of law and order, and restoring faith in government. And he's prosecuted prostitution rings before.
So - even if he is guilty of the crime, which is a misdemeanor, should he stay in office? Or should he be removed?
