Sick?
Yesterday Grace slept a lot. Last night she slept 9 hrs w/o waking. This morning after I nursed her, she threw up all the milk. Then a half hour later we nursed again and she threw it up again. When she was at the sitters, she threw up the sweet potato the sitter gave her. She have been all quiet, wheezy, and just lays around doing nothing. She didn't have a fever this morning, and now she has 99.5. Could she be sick?? I don't know, and I don't know what to do for her? She hasn't had more than 1 wet diaper since last night...maybe two. Any advice???

Yes she definitley is sick. There's probably not a lot you can do. If you're worried about dehydration, you should take her to the pedi or if it doesn't pass in another day. (Or obviously if the fever is super high, etc.) Most of the time though, you just have to treat the symptoms and wait until they get over it!

We got some pedyalite but she didn't take any really. We gave her some Tylenol but she threw it up. If she is still like this tomorrow we're taking her to Instacare....

This sounds like what Amber had last Friday. I was told to try nursing for 5 minutes and then break for 30-60 minutes. Do it again and watch to see that she keeps it down. (She did, and was herself again in the morning. We also noticed a difference after 2 hours!) If that hadn't worked, we were told not to BF for 4 hours, and give 1 tsp of pedialite every 5 minutes.
If it doesn't get better, you might consider trying the advice we got from the nurse (above).

I hope she's feeling better. Breastmilk is often sufficient (and better) for hydration--even when they're sick--I wouldn't give pedialyte unless your pedi has examined her and says to do so. It can cause some issues for you. But really, I just hope she's doing better!
