Default Sick and Concern

Hi,

Im 33 weeks pregnant about to give birth next month but this week I sadly got sick with cough, flu, and fever.

For the past 3 days I had a fever 100.8 but since i started taking tylenol my temperatures has fluctuates from 97-98 degrees. Now im stuck with the worse cough and sore throat and flu. The doctor gave me antiobiotics but its seems to be taking forever.

Anywyas, im just so worried that my baby is being affected by my sickness.

Is it common for pregnant woman to get sick like me? I just dont know why i would get sick and im almost done with my pregnancy, I was doing so good now my body gave up when its almost over.

Any advice mommies??

I remember having some flu bug when I preggos with DS. I was told I could take Sudafed and drink, drink, drink, drink, drink as much fluids as you can. You need to stay hydrated.

Hope you both feel better soon.

I personally have never been that sick while pregnant, but my sister got VERY sick right around her due date with the flu and bronchitis ((sp?)) on top of that. The doc gave her antibiotics and said that it wouldn't effect the baby at all. Just to take it easy. HTH!
