I was reading another forum and it made me think of this. When is it ok for single moms/dads to start dating again? Let's say the child is 5 and the parents just divorced. Should they talk to their child about this first? I know 5 is a young age but they still are able to understand what may be going on. When is it ok to introduce the child to the bf/gf? What do you guys think?

I don't know about 5, but at the child my age is at, there is absolutely no time to date at all! In fact, I've only dated twice since she's been born. Both guys didn't get past a few dates because they couldn't understand the "making plans ahead of time" thing.

I think that as long as the parent doesn't bring new gf's or bf's around their child all the time, then they can go on and start dating whenever they want! I just don't know where they find the time. If anyone knows some secret that I don't...clue me in please!
