Default numb achy hands?

I've noticed in the past few weeks that my hands become very sore and achy when I am holding a pencil and writing or using the mouse on the computer. In the past week holding anything in my hands starts to make them hurt. Has this happened to anyone else? I know its not the cold because it happens a lot when I'm inside. Also, my hand have started falling asleep when I am asleep to the point where it is extremely painful and wakes me up. Does anyone know what is causing this? The preggo book I have says this is a symptom of pregnancy, but I would like to know what to do to make it feel better. I am going to the ob on Monday the 28th and hopefully they will be able to tell me why this is happening.

My hands will get a tight & achy when they are retaining water. I can really feel it when I try to grip things. So, it may possibly be swelling in your hands. Let us know what the doc says.

mine are numb and achy right now, and ohhhh so cold. But they are not swollen, they are shrunken. Its so cold outside my hands just cant get warm, and I was only out long enough to carry in the groceries, even after being in side for about 30 minutes they still hurt. I think the blood is going else where and the outer extremities suffer.

Ha! That's what' happening to me today! Wow! the last three fingers on my right hand are numb and tingly. I've also had issues with my hand cramping up when I write.
I've read that this is from the circulation issues with your enlarging uterus.
It's annoying!
