Snow Days
For those of you who live where it snows, how many snow days have your kids had so far this year. Today is our kids 3rd snow day in 2 weeks, they were closed the last 2 mondays due to ice storms, and today they have closed because we are supposed to get snow starting around 10 am. FYI I HATE snow days, i run a home daycare so when there i snowdays i have MANY kids here and it throws my whole week off, dont get me wrong i love my job and love spending time with all the kids but I hate that my whole week gets thrown off, not to metion the headahce from 7 kids screeming all day, lol!

Hee hee. . .my kids NEVER get snow days. . .but I suppose that's not really what you mean huh! Actually here, it is very, very rare that we get a snow day. It is so warm that it is rare that the snow actually accumulates so even if it is to snow all day, it might not mean much. Today we're supposed to get a 'big' snowstorm. We'll see.  I'm happy though bc alternate side parking is suspended for 'snow removal' woohoo!!!!

Hey. . .where in upstate? Well actually don't answer that. . .I went to school in Houghton, NY. . .is that anywhere near you? (It's an hour or so south of Rochester. . .near other small towns like Olean, etc.)

i live about 30 min south of albany, no snow yet, they say it is supposed to start around 10 am but we will see, those weather men are ALWAYS wrong!

Yes. . .I haven't heard an estimated time yet but I'm looking outside and it is grey, but not snowing yet. I will say that if it does accumulate like they say it will, it can have a very crippling effect on the city. We'll see.

Today will be my kid's 1st snow day. They are getting out at 11 and since it wasn't 1/2 a day of learning, it will not count.

So far this winter my kids haven't had a single snow day but did have one day where they started 2 hrs late. We'll just have to wait and see how the rest of the winter goes.
I live in North Central Iowa only 6 miles from Minnesota. It's about 11 miles west of I-35 and about 25 miles south of I-90. So I am very landlocked . . . . . in the center of a continent.
I grew up in Central Pennsylvania jsut about 20 miles East of Little League Headquarters. My mom tells me that my sister has already a snow day and a few days with a 2 hr delay.

We live in Northern Wisconsin and haven't had a snow day either. Our only big snow storm this year was on a Saturday! We have another 3 or 4 months of snow so we have a pretty good chance of getting a snow day or 2.....BTW, I HATE SNOW!
