So DH & I still haven't really told anyone, especially family. It seems like we're going to be able to get a doctor's appt relatively quickly (since DD already has medicaid, it's faster to get me on it) and DH is about to finish his Army reenlistment packet. They'll both be happening within a few weeks, so we're waiting until whichever happens first.
Well, my great-aunt called me twice tonight. They're about 85-90 so i was really nervous when she called, especially since i've only spoken with her a handful of times since my Dad died about 5 years ago. She's kind of like the "matriarch" in the family, she knows everything about everyone at all times (and we are a HUGE family, there's an easy 150 of us). Well, she called to check on my sister, then as we're talking she says "well, when are you due?"
i said "you mean lisa? oh, she's due June 10th blah blah blah." She says "no Amber, when are YOU due? Everyone in this family has babies at the same time, when are you due?" Not sure how i got her off the subject, but somehow i managed it.
looks like we're going to have to break the news here soon before she shows up on my front step! lol.
