And, errrg, I got an 87....Not so good as it is an advanced class...Errg, I hope I can still be in advanced next year, regular would dull the life out of me and I'd be able to do the work in my sleep...

So speak up about that. Teachers love it when you ask how to do better, what you need to do.
My son feels the same way about his AP classes. He may not like the books they're reading, but there is always someone to argue with. In the regular class, discussions were like a private conversation between him and the teacher.
Sounds like a really tough paper! Now that you have the first one under your belt, they should get easier. We are all really proud of you!

an 87 is great! Esp. in an advanced class...although I know how you feel....i was in honors English and anything less then an A was unacceptable to me...I'm sure the next one will be an A since now you know where your mistakes were!
