Kristin, I don't want to scare you, but my brother went to the doctor with a stomach bug about 6 months ago, and his doctor would not give him phenergan. He said there was a new study that indicated that it was the biggest cause for seizures in children and adults. (My brother has no history of seizures, ever...just kidney stones). Instead, they gave him another anti-nausea med that was incredibly expensive. The doctor may have been jumping the gun or ill-informed, but my brother telling me that has stuck with me ever since. We both have stones regularly, and I've wondered since then if they would give me phenergan the next time I go to the ER with a stone. I googled before I posted, hoping to find a link to provide you with..and of course, I couldn't find anything other than the regular possible side effects which say it gives an increased chance for people prone to seizures.
Have you tried just taking half a pill to see how that works for you? It might not incapacitate you as badly as the whole pill while still providing you with releif from the sickness.
Good luck!
