Sophie how cool! Well last night I did some reading up on the internet. Apparently believing in ghosts is a very popular thing! I remember a time when I was 20 that I thought I saw one. It was a tall shadow of a guy staring at my from the doorway, but when I looked up, he seemed to run across the hall and was gone. I wasn't extremely scared, and I never have been. I mean, the usual hair-standing-up-on-end feeling, but I feel that everytime my ex shows up, and he's not a ghost (although I'm sure he'd be easier to deal with if he was).

Actually I would love to read it. You are more than welcome to send it my way.

Afraid I don't have much to contribute-only things that ever happened (other than what I've talked about here) were when I was using a ouija board as a kid. But i was kid-wild imagination...you know.

Ghost "stories" scare the crap out of me! I've always been interested, to a degree. I'm a frady cat though, so I could never really look into it.

I've had one experience, and that was enough to freak me out for life. At my moms old house, the previous owner died in one of the bedrooms ((we were never sure which one)) but he didn't have any daughters, so me and my sister were the only ones ever effected ((her more then me))... well, one night after having my first son, we stayed at my moms for the weekend. He was in the family room, and I slept on the couch in the living room. In the middle of the night I woke up to someone coming down the steps. At first I was afraid who ever it was would wake the baby, but when I opened my eyes, no one was there, but I could still hear the foot steps on every step! I squeezed my eyes shut and hoped VERY MUCH that I was just dreaming, but a few seconds later the sink in the kitchen turned on! I got up to go look and even though I still heard it, the water wasn't running. I sat up the rest of the night to afraid to go back to sleep! Luckily, Vinnie woke up a short time later, so it took my mind off of it. Needless to say, I NEVER slept there again. Maybe my mind was playing tricks on me and I was sleep deprived, but never the less, I was scared out of my mind!!

wow ok ill contribute

Nicole Im'd me tonight letting me know these posts were here:

One day, Jaecy was about 15 months or so, she was standing in our hallway talking to someone. I thought she was babbling, so i said "Jaecy who are you talking too?" "Papi, mommy." papi is what she calls my dad. my grandfather passed away when Jae was 3 weeks old. Him and my dad look exactly the same.
"Papi is at home hunny"
"No, papi there!" She insisted! I knew it was him!

Recently we just moved. Before the move she was terrified out of nowhere to be in her room alone. She had tons of toys, books, TV, etc in there but OWULD NOT be in there alone. She would scream to the point of breaking blood vessels she was so scared when we put her to bed. (Got in the bad habit of rubbing her back until she fell asleep!)
Now we moved and she lives in her bedroom. The other night i was tucking her in and she looks at me with ehr big blue eyes and says "No more monsters anymore, Mommy" New house now." Then rolled over and fell to sleep...

I told Nicole (Vinniesmom, who i know from HS) how i believe she is very smart for her age, and i know when you are smart like that you use more of your brain....i think its possible people can tap into that part of the brain

Nicole, you are not a fraidy cat! just the fact that you got up to go investigate the sound of the running water, shows you had some kind of bravery. I get scared, but I always have to check out the source of the sounds before I freak out. To not be frozen to the spot in fear, is bravery enough for me!

And WOW Rhianna! What an interesting story. My dd can't communicate with me through words, but often I do notice that when she first wakes up, she totally ignores me, looks in some random spot, and starts babbling and laughing! Not too worried, since she seems to have a funny gaurdian angel. I don't think babies can see ghosts, but rather the people who are assigned to be their gaurdians through life.

But the fact that your dd saw a monster-scary! Alot of moms would chalk it up to an overactive imagination, as we've done, but who will ever know what they see? My mom insists I saw things as a child, but I'll never remember them. Sad. I would have rather liked to remember my imaginary friends.

I'm open to being proven wrong, but I am totally with that comment Rhianna made at the end of her post....who knows what our brains are capable of? Haven't they only mapped out 13%? What's the rest there for? Who knows...

Default scary story

Can't believe you girls telling scary stories like a real one.
Really scare me when reading, feel my whole body chilled.
Well, supernature is easier to accept than science.

I found these stories and it made me laugh. I totally believe in the ghosts...when I was a teenager I dreamt about dead family members coming to me and telling me things that only the elder family memebers would know. It happened to me alot and I do have senses myself. A few years ago, we inherited an old house from my family and we gutted the house and added on. The house had been in my family for over 100 yrs and I talked to the owners and told them we were going to preserve what we could and we would honor the family house. This process took 2 yrs and while under construction, my husband and I were measuring areas and my kids were running around. My daughter who was 3 at the time fell from the first floor to the basement cement floor. She landed feet first without a scratch...(thanking god). She cried and said there was an angel....hmmm...where did she get that???
Also, another time my husband was giving me a ride to work and a truck hit us from the drivers door all the way to the back right where my son was sitting. I screamed in terror as I thought I was going to lose my son and husband. Well, I had a toy angel in my glove box know as a parking angel and it was with me during my pregnancies. We were all safe after the accident--not sure how but when we cleaned the car out...the parking angel was HANGING off a cable in my trunk...hmmm
