I am also trying to be a stay at home mom. I have worked as a pharmacy technician for 21 years and I just got burned out or mid-life crisis or something. I am trying to start a home based business through Home and Garden Party. We have a lot of wonderful products, and I do home parties and fundraisers. My biggest problem, is that I have a hard time asking people to throw home parties. If they hesitate, or tell me how busy their lives are, I just back off. I really want this to work, and I know that I could make the income that I need , if I could just get enough people to do 3 parties a week. I have 3 upcoming parties and I am hoping that people will book parties off the hostess.
I really enjoy the company, and I have a great support team close to home. The products that we carry are very high class, or so I think and they are reasonably priced compared to other companies. I just need to pull up my big girl pants and get out there and get parties booked. This also gives me time in the evenings to have a girls night out!

I have friends that do Stampin' Up and Creative Memories type stuff. It seems to me that the trick is to find people who love what you're selling AND love entertaining. One of my friends has thrown a home party for a mutual friend several times. In any case, it certainly helps that you like what you're selling!

Default I am a Bra Paramedic!!

I started in February selling for Essential Bodywear. We feature Oprah's Favorate Sports Bra. I make my own hours. The pay is great for the amount of time spent on a "Party". If you want more information, please let me know!!

I am a work at home mom of 1 handsome 3 year old. I graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Health Service Administration the same year my son was born. I did not want to leave him to be raised by a daycare, so I search for about 7 months for something I could do from home.

I work at home with a great company. I love the fact that I am still able to generate an income and be home with my son. I work at home with a 15 year old health benefits company. I work my business part time on average of 15 hours each week.

If you would like to learn how save money or make money then view my website and let me know if I can help you!

I run two websites - One is www.ozkidsactivities.com. This is an online directory of kids activities in Australia. The other is www.dotcommothers.com. On this one I interview successful women business owners...

I was in the service industry before this. Found that I was trading hours for money. It was hard with two kids at home.

Hello - I've just found this website - was looking for adoption related topics but have found so many interesting threads already. I can't pass up hearing about how others make money with their own business. We have a website that tracks your fitness program of walking or running. It's a virtual fitness center where you never have to exercise alone. It's been fun to have challenges to keep each other motivated. The website is ipodfitnesscenter . I'll keep reading to get other ideas. My goal is to have income with flexible hours so we can enjoy our 8 year old son adopted from Kazakstan. PF
