I always loved Socks the Clinton era White House cat. He looked just like my Tracy, the wonderful cat who actually played with my then young children.

And if you wondered what happened to Socks - well, he didn't get along with the dog, and aggravated the president's allergies - so he went to live with Clinton's secretary.

And now he has cancer.

Poor old puddy. Hope his last days are good ones.
