Default sorry i am a bit confused here about my last post !

Sorry ladies, I just read my last post, and I think I have got things a bit wrong. When I said I was worried about producing so many eggs on the fert meds, I have thought about this, and wonder does the meds produce follicles, lots of them, and then does the hcg shot that triggers O then help to release an egg, or two or whatever?

So you can have alot of follicles but not produce any eggs, or only 1 or 2? Sorry for my dumbness but as I haven't been here before I have so many questions. Thanks for your patience!!

EVERY follical over 13-14mm will produce an egg. Some may or may not be mature. However any follical over 18mm WILL produce a mature egg. The Hcg tigger will increase the size of the follical by 2-4mm. So any egg over 12mm can in theory produce an egg after the Hcg trigger is taken! All follicals over 14mm should produce an egg. I've never heard of a women having a follical and not having an egg in it. The egg might not be mature but there will still be one inside. Your Dr. will most likely count all follicals over 14mm so if you have more than 4 the chance of Mult. babies is VERY high! Think of the Hcg trigger as not only a trigger to release the egg but it also does the finishing touches to the eggs and makes them mature before they are released! I know its confusing so if you have anymore ?'s feel free to PM me!
