Default Spent the AM in the ED W/ Elderly Mom

What a way to wake-up!

Phone call from my elderly Dad that Mom had fallen getting out of the shower this morning.

Quickly got dressed and finally convinced Dad that Mom needed an ambulance to transport to the hospital ED. Called 9-1-1 and the managers to go help my Mom. (All they had to do was to pull the emergency cord in the bathroom!) I am 20-25 minutes away from them.

Met the ambulance at the ED. Dad followed in his car. I thought my Dad was not coming, or I'd have picked him up.

Mom has major bruising on her left leg, foot, thigh. Thank God she has no fractured bones. She is going to be really hurting tomorrow, I'm afraid.

Just very thankful that she had no broken bones.

Scary stuff, Angie. Amazing that your dad did not realize that calling 911 was necessary - good for him to follow, he probably took it for granted that you knew he would.
