Default Stay at home moms...

So what do you do "stay at home moms" when you feel really bored? Or what about when you feel you have someone to talk about a certain family prob? Well my mom told me about a site for Canadian moms where you can share your ideas and opinions even your probs you can chat also with moms near your place. It's called mommy club. Did anyone know about mommy club?

--you must not have that many kids to be bored! Or they go to school? I homeschool and I have 5 under 8 that includes a set of 2yo twins. I covet boredom! But in NYC there's a huge mom's club thing!

I find that with 2 kids...its hard to be bored...there is always something that needs to be done....from cleaning the house to taking my almost 8yr old to Karate or swimming. During our long Canadian winters it can be hard to do things outside with the kids...but on those days its nice outside we go out and have fun I look forward to summer when I can do loads with the kids....If you need some tips on keeping you busy or what things you can do with the kids I'll see if I can find the thread that we made ust for this subject

When I get some down time, I love to play spades (zone.com). I also love the games on Neopets (neopets.com). I love to scrapbook. Oh my gosh, I can lose hours scrapbooking.

Life today is a bit different for me. I work 30 hours and my kids are older, so I do get down time.

I've also been catching up on t.v. shows I missed over the the last 20 years . I've been watching Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond, E.R., Quantum Leap and others.

I usually surf the net....hahaha... My boys are 2 and 4, and the 4 year old goes to school everyday for 3 hours and my little guy usually naps while he's there. Unless we are running errands. Also DH is in and out through out the day because he works on our dairy farm..... Never a boring day.

Boredom is a HUGE problem for me. I've been stuck in the house with a six and one year old all winter. We have one daily walk, to pick my daughter up from her bus stop. We go shopping once a week, plus to the library for story time on saturdays. I would take them out more, but the weather is atrocius. I live a block from the beach on the pacific northwest coast. It's almost constantly raining or hailing, plus the wind. Our power gets knocked out every other week. I don't have cable, so there's no solace of my favorite tv shows to look forward to. I think my kids are bored out of their minds too! We have NO extra money to do anything fun. We live out in the middle of nowhere, and I don't drive.
We're all waiting impatiently for spring.

Boredom is no longer in my vocabulary. I would like to be bored sometimes but with 4 kids 6 and under, therapy, homeschooling, working and keeping the household running there is not much time for anything else. When my kids say they are bored they get to help me with a chores so they usually don't say they are bored as much. Good luck with finding something. Board games are a fun thing to do when you don't have a tv and have a little bit of free time.
