Default still leaking...

Ok - anyone reach the 6 month mark and still leak? I'm so very thankfull to be producing enough milk to feed a small orphanage but its quite messy to still be leaking all over the place...I have to use nursing pads around the clock and if I forget - well lets just say I've flashed one too many wet spots on my shirts I guess I'm just whining a bit - but can anyone relate? My mommy friends call me a cow - which is funny for the most part - but it would be nice if someone else could relate so i don't feel like a milk maid freak show...

I can relate. I never leave home without breastpads. I keep extras in the diaper bag at all times, just in case. It is annoying, but at least I know I have plenty of milk.

Have you thought about donating your breast milk to a breast milk bank?

yes but there is nothing close to me as I live in small town - my sis is a nicu nurse in a very pro- bf hospital (she is in a dif. state) she helped me look into it but it was not possible otherwise I would have loved to do it!

You are blessed with plenty of mother's milk! You must be doing something right.

When I went back to work, I slowed down and stopped BF with both my sons. Working on the floor as a staff nurse, every time a patient or family member started crying or was upset, my mother's milk would automatically let down. Leaky - yes!

I found this link about donating mother's milk, but do not know any specifics.
