I went in to do the P&G deal today and ended up spending $2.95 total including tax. I walked away with 44 items and saved a total of $86.40. Here is what I did...
1st transaction:
(16) Pedigree butcher Select dog food .69 cents each.... 8 coupons for buy one get one free... savings of $6.32. The store took off the price of the non sale price which was .79 since the other part was a store card savings.
(4) packs of Olay Soap which were $3.33 each. Had two coupons for save 3.00 on two olay soaps and moisterizers. Savings $6.00.
(4) Olay Ribbons body wash $3.33 each. Had 4 coupons for "Buy the olay soap 4 pack or larger and get the body wash free. Savings $13.32
They took 5.00 off my total price because of the p&g deal and also the butcher select dog foods were generating a $1.00 Kroger cash for each 4 that you buy so I had received 4 of those which the cashier let me use right away on that order. I also had 3 previous kroger dollars from the trip yesterday.
Transaction 2 was pretty much the same but I payed a little more because I only bought 12 of the pedigree dog foods (only had 6 coupons) and I received 3 kroger dollars and only had 1 kroger dollar left over from the day before. So the total on that one was $2.46.
I ended up walking out with 44 items for less then what I would have paid for one body wash

Pretty good eh?
My dogs love me for life now and I already have all the soap and body wash that I could ever use so I will probably sell those for $2.00 each at my garage sale. Potential profit of $32.00
