whoa! Even though they're "only" required to pay back one-third of the money, that's still quite a chunk of money. I wonder if their stores have been closed?

That's one third each. I think the markets are still open, don't know how long those particular folks will own them. It's kind of important to keep supermarkets in Newark, because so many of them shut down in the 1960s and then weren't built again. People really depend on having them there now.

oh, I didn't realize it was one-third each. *reads article again* Still, they're getting a "deal" by that amount. Talk about paying for your crime. (pun sorta intended)
